Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the Motix24 mobile app, website and related services ("Motix24", "we") collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Motix24 helps you track vehicle maintenance, fuel, expenses and document expiry.
Information you provide
- Account details: your name, email address and password (passwords are stored only as salted hashes by our authentication provider — we never see them). Guest accounts have no email.
- Preferences: currency, distance unit, fuel unit, date format and profile photo.
- Vehicle records: vehicles (nickname, make, model, year, registration number, odometer, photo), fuel entries, expenses, maintenance reminders, service history and vehicle documents including reference numbers, dates and any files you attach.
- Support requests: the subject and message of tickets you submit and our replies.
Information collected automatically
- The dates on which you open or sync the app, used to show you sync status and to measure active usage.
- Technical logs kept by our hosting providers (such as IP address and request time) for security and reliability.
Motix24 does not use advertising trackers, does not sell personal information and does not share it for advertising.
How we use information
- To provide the service: store and sync your records, calculate fuel economy and costs, and schedule reminders.
- To keep your account secure, prevent abuse and enforce our Terms.
- To respond to support requests and send service announcements you can see in the app.
- To understand aggregate usage (for example, number of active users) so we can improve the app.
Notifications
Maintenance and document reminders are scheduled locally on your device. You can turn each type off in Profile & Settings or in your device settings.
Where data is stored
Data is stored with Supabase (database, authentication and file storage) and our administration tools run on Cloudflare. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. Uploaded documents and photos are kept in private storage and are only accessible to you through short-lived links. A copy of your synced data is also cached on your device so the app works offline.
Who can access your data
Your records are isolated to your account by database-level access rules. A small number of authorised administrators can view account and vehicle records when needed to provide support, investigate abuse or meet legal obligations. Administrative access to uploaded documents is logged.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete individual records at any time, or delete your whole account from Profile & Settings → Delete Account or on our account deletion page. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, vehicles, fuel entries, expenses, reminders, service records, documents, uploaded files and support tickets. Backups maintained by our infrastructure providers roll over within their standard retention windows.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. You can export your records as CSV from the app and edit or delete them directly. For anything else, contact us through the support page.
Children
Motix24 is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the effective date above. Significant changes will also be announced in the app.
